Rophnan Joins Paradigm in Global Rights and Marketing Administration Agreement

July 28, 2025 – Paradigm is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Rophnan Nuri, the groundbreaking Ethiopian artist, producer, and performer known for blending traditional Ethiopian sounds with global electronic influences. As part of this global rights and marketing administration agreement, Paradigm will administer and represent Rophnan’s extensive catalog and frontline releases. Additionally, Paradigm will provide talent management representation for Rophnan in the United States while working closely with him to market his music, name, image, and likeness on a global scale.

“Rophnan is a rare visionary,” stated Andre Mullen, Founder & CEO of Paradigm. “His ability to bridge Ethiopia’s rich traditions with innovative sounds has made him a cultural trailblazer. We are honored to partner with him as he continues to inspire audiences worldwide and expand Ethiopia’s presence on the global music stage.”

Born in Ethiopia as the ninth of ten siblings, Rophnan’s journey is one of fearless creativity and cultural pride. A self-taught producer, composer, and performer, Rophnan’s music revolutionizes Ethiopia’s contemporary soundscape by fusing traditional rhythms with electronic beats. His work has inspired a generation, reshaped Ethiopia’s musical identity, and positioned him as a leader in the country’s burgeoning electronic music scene.

Rophnan’s impact reached new heights with his historic dual album release, Nine, on February 11, 2024. The project features two distinct albums, ‘Harambe’ and ‘Nor’, both of which have left an indelible mark on Ethiopia’s music industry.

  • ‘Harambe’ (Swahili for “together”) showcases Rophnan’s commitment to cultural empowerment and social commentary. Through its themes of self-discovery and identity, the album celebrates heritage and individuality while amplifying marginalized voices.

  • ‘Nor’ (an Ethiopian greeting expressing respect for elders) invites listeners on a transformative journey of renewal and introspection. Its experimental soundscapes challenge conventions, embracing change and innovation.

Both albums highlight Ethiopia’s linguistic and cultural diversity, featuring songs in Oromo and Tigrinya and rhythms from the Benishangul region. Collaborations with international reggae star Chronixx on Harambe and celebrated musicians Haile Root and Sol Romeo on Nor exemplify Rophnan’s ability to blend cultures and genres seamlessly.

Rophnan’s artistry extends beyond the studio. His energetic live performances and multimedia projects, such as his recent single ‘Dorze Delics’ in collaboration with Balchut Creatives and director Kirubel Tibebu, demonstrate his commitment to visual and musical innovation.

For Rophnan, music is more than sound—it is a bridge between tradition and innovation, a way to honor Ethiopia’s heritage while embracing the future. While some label his style as “Ethiopian Electronic,” Rophnan remains focused on creating a collective movement that defines Ethiopia’s modern sound on the world stage.

“This partnership with Paradigm marks an exciting new chapter for me,” Rophnan shared. “Their global expertise and vision align perfectly with my mission to share Ethiopia’s culture and creativity with the world. Together, we will continue to break boundaries and inspire through music.”

This collaboration signals Paradigm’s commitment to amplifying Rophnan’s artistry and positioning Ethiopian music as a global force. As Rophnan continues to push artistic boundaries, Paradigm is honored to play a role in bringing his vision to life.
