Tasan is a Jamaica-bred singer, songwriter, and artist redefining what it means to write from instinct. Known for her rare ability to “write songs in the moment,” she has quickly become one of the most sought-after young songwriting voices in music — a craftswoman whose pen moves as fast as the room she’s in.

Music runs in her blood. The daughter of reggae/dancehall icon Papa San and sister of Grammy Award-winning producer and artist BEAM, Tasan grew up inside the sound — surrounded by studio sessions, gospel roots, and the rhythms of Jamaican music culture. What emerged is an artist shaped by heritage but unbound by category: fluent in dancehall, R&B, gospel, and pop, and moving fluidly between all of them.

In 2020, Tasan signed a global publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing — a partnership that has since positioned her at the center of some of music’s most exciting rooms. Her songwriting credits span an extraordinary range of artists, including Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child, J Balvin, Michaël Brun, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Berhana, DEE/MA, and KANIS.

Her rise has been recognized across the industry, including her selection for the YouTube Black Voices Class of 2023 — one of the platform’s most competitive artist development programs, spotlighting the next generation of Black creators shaping global culture.

Now signed to Paradigm Music as an artist partner — with her publishing administered by Sony Music Publishing — Tasan is stepping fully into her own as a recording artist.
